Deposit
Hoas apartment deposit is 0 euros. In the majority of tenancy agreements starting from June 1, 2023, or later, no deposit is required.
However, a deposit is required if you have payment defaults or if you are renting an exchange student apartment.
The security deposit for shared apartments is 260 euros, and for other apartments, it is 500 euros. In addition to the security deposit, you may be required to pay advance rent.
The collected deposits will be returned to the tenant upon moving out of the apartment.
The deposit cannot be used to pay for the last month’s rent, and you cannot use it while the tenancy agreement is in effect. The deposit is a guarantee for Hoas in the event that the tenant does not pay the rent or other fees, or they damage the apartment.
The deposit must be paid to Hoas’ account and a proof of payment must be delivered to Hoas along with other required documents for confirmation of the tenancy agreement. You receive the payment information on your housing offer and can pay the deposit through your bank. The due date for the payment is informed on the housing offer.
Please remember to use the specified reference number when you pay the deposit!
Hoas does not accept vouchers. If you want to apply for the deposit to be paid by Kela, please contact Hoas and Kela to check the current procedure.
The deposit is either 260 or 500 euros.
